Photographer's Note
After two hours of performance she looked tired yet happy, full of energy, and beautiful...
Youthfulness, my friends...
-----
Taken with ISO800 settings. Not bad, isn't it? Nikon learnt something finally...
-----
In the workshop you may find my secret - how to start a good relationship with the locals before you take their portraits...

Hi Jerzy, my neighbour today,
Very nice portrait job from Mindelo.
Perfect pov and nice warm colors. I like here the way how they stay on a row, two young men at the right fully disinteressed but the girl has allready noticed what's going on !
TFS and have a nice weekend
Best regards

I think this is great Jerzy - like it a lot.
I like the way the three faces are lined up, creating a strong diagonal that gives a lot of depth to the image.
Most importantly of all, you caught a great expression - full of happiness and good humour. It seems you made a good impression!
Perhaps the framing is a bit tight at the top - I'd have preferred more space between the hairline and the top edge of the frame to get rid of that cramped feeling there. But I'm splitting hairs now (literally!) - it's not that important.
Good work Jerzy - you did very well with this one.
Cheers,
Ben

Another great portrait in your style, Jerzy, I already like this series more than the Provence one... the DOF superb here, the guys in background make it an intriguing scene complementing the main subject... regarding your "secret" I do remember how you did it with the guy at the entrance of the Coptic church in Jerusalem, I even took several photos "documenting" how you gradually broke the ice until the "friendship" is established... hello jerzy,
the girl is sweating buckets as we say in the UK. She must really have had a hard work out perforing to get this hot. But you have captured her beauty beautifully. There is a nice light nd bokeh too.

Hi Jerzy,
Very good capture. You're the artist, but it seems the Nikon is a good help too (I'm not expert at those technical issues).
The workshop is funny.
In fact, becoming a friend of the locals is not so difficult, when you are in Cape Verde. I know that first hand, both in Cape Verde and with Cape Verdeans in Portugal. Very kind people.
Cheers,

A droplet of sweat (?) on her neck...!!!
How a pixel ... One single pixel in photography can spell volumes ?
One of the most charming smiles I've seen recently on TE ...
And it is hot.. heat...steamy..blazing..scorching in there...
Stay cool, bro

What a heartwarming image, what a smile to illuminate the greyest day. Superb result, every pore shines with energy, nice background too, the joy of life and dance, this is excellent, with warm colors and great contrast, 800 Iso, wow! And yes, your secret is that human contact you know to establish....

LOL!
I love the workshop.
Why didn't you act like that in order to start good relationships with Turkish people?
I know, they already love becoming models, don't they?..
Warm white balance on already warm faces make extreme warm colors, maybe you could pull down the temperature a bit (can be because of my monitor settings, but all the faces in your last three shots glare like gold).
I love the face and her charm. The bokeh people are nice as well.
Cheers,
Deniz

Hello Jerzy,
I see you were In your territory with all these friendly people around you and you're touch to get in touch with them, the result could only be this one, a card full of special portraits, very close to the photos you portrait.
This smile is priceless and you got it so well along with the two guys on background.
That touch of sweat on her neck is a fabulous detail which connects immediately the photo with your note.
So, you make your 'entrance' in scene by the 'backdoor' using the old ladies, eh!? smart approach indeed, the old ladies are always ready for a good chat specially if it's with a friendly foreigner.
Great job once again Jerzy.
Cheers.
Paulo
