I prefer the old architecture of Mindelo downtown, but new constructions are sprawling the barren outskirts of the city, as you see here in this view of the area of Alto Miramar.
Notice at right the saffron Casa Racionalista of my previous post. On top of the street there is the newer building of the Igreja Nova Apostólica (official site: New Apostolic Church).
The Cape-Verdeans are mostly a Catholic nation, and the Roman Catholic Church has as much influence in Cape Verde as in Portugal or Brazil. However, a sizeable number of Cape-Verdeans are also following Protestant/Evangelical/Apostolic churches and other faiths too. I guess most of them came to Cape Verde by influence of the emigrants, namely those in the US.
