Mindelo downtown, in São Vicente Island, seen from the opposite side of Porto Grande Bay.
The white and red building at right is the Old Customs House (Alfândega Velha, from 1860). To its left it is the Nautical Club (1875) (Clube Náutico).
The mountain, with its usual cap of clouds, it's Monte Verde, the highest in São Vicente (750 m / 2460 ft.).
Maybe you'd like to compare this view with the broader Mindelo waterfront.

Olá Francisco, comparativamente, até gosto mais da outra, mas esta dá-nos uma vista do impressionante "dragão" lá atrás que deve estar sempre dentro de uma nuvem, como a serra de sintra. A minha pergunta é: e subir até aqueles 750m? Deve dar para fazer isso, não? Espero que não haja estradas, pois a pé num caminho difícil é que dá pica.

Olá Francisco,
Porque será que tem um ar tão familiar para mim, que nunca fui a nenhum Cabo Verde? :-) Dá muito ares do Sul de Portugal, um bocadinho mais árido.
O casario 'metido' entre o azul do mar e o castanho dos montes áridos a modos que enche a vista. Tb. gosto da nuvem a cobrir o monte lá atrás.

I really like the layers you've framed here, the water, the curve of the palm-studdfed town and the reciprocal curve of the cloud above. Larry says, "It looks like that was a fuzzy cloud day." SAA, Larry & Pat

Ola amigo Francisco muito bonita esta vista sobre Mindelo , parece mesmo a margem sul de Lisboa , Barreiro, Seixal , muito interessante mesmo , gostei da paisagem de fundo ,algumas cidades que conheci no Brasil a beira mar são muito parecidas .
