Como transição para temas menos polémicos, após o referendo do aborto em Portugal, aqui está uma imagem do Centro de Emergência Infantil, do Instituto Cabo-verdiano de Menores, no Mindelo. Tradicionalmente as crianças cabo-verdianas são criadas apenas pelas mães (como na foto seguinte), seja devido à emigração maioritariamente masculina, seja por outros motivos menos compreensíveis. Daí esse cartaz apelando à participação do pai e da mãe, com o pai em primeiro lugar.
As a transition between the previous post and less polemical themes, I present a simple shot of the Centro Emergência Infantil (Children's Emergency Center) in Mindelo, São Vicente Island. The humble façade displays a naive painting about the need to take care of children. In Cape Verde usually only the mother takes care of children; the poster urges both the father and the mother to take care of their children.

Boas noites Francisco. Bom trio the 'posts' sobre temas muito menos polémicos de facto ;-) Aqui gosto da textura do muro cá em baixo. Aquele cartaz ficaria melhor se tivesse pintado na zona branca da parede e mais ao comprido.

important message, and worthy note. its good to bring awarenece to subjects like this. we michigan we have major issues about father not taking care of the children

Hello Francisco,
An interesting compo and note, showing a poster of both parents remembering to take care of children. It remind me the posters we can see in India, even though a bit different, telling how nice it is to have girl too. Nice colors and texture of the wall.
