Photographer's Note
The Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz (Our Lady of Light) is the main Catholic church in Mindelo city, São Vicente Island, Cape Verde, built in 1862. In my opinion, this is like a small town church somewhere in Portugal, but in a tropical setting.
The young man in foreground is one of the West African immigrant hawkers that sell trinkets and handicrafts in the streets of Cape Verde.
This place is called Pracinha da Igreja, what means "Little Square of the Church".
In the Workshops there are other views of the church: other day afternoon and view from other corner.

Hi Francisco!
Your photo makes the best of the excellent lighting to show us a beautiful place on Earth. Of course, if there are people on the spot, there are everyday problems of earning for the living...

It's interesting to see the little church from different angles, but you cetainly made the right choice to post this as your main post. The light is beautiful and the clarity and sharpness impeccable. Even without the vendor it would be a good shot, but he adds another element of interest.

Good Shot and excellent POV.Good view at the diagonal facades and wall. The seller with his bright colored football shirt is agood detail in your composition and I like that you included a small part of the orange house.

Hi Francisco,
I like the way you've framed the church showing the whole square with the trees and the small garden and the man leaning against the fence. Light, color and detail are all very attractive. You keep talking about how dry the place is but what you shoot shows the green bits; I guess we respond more to what's unique. The workshop could be a primary post as well although the one you chose IS better because it has motre interestin detail.

Olà Francisco,
I was there at this church, took some shots, there was that day more people, some were selling fish ...
Nice compo.
The seller is Senegalese, I assume, I met a lot of them at Sal especially but not only.
Suck links between Dakar and Cape Verde and pretty close.

Hello Francisco.
Excellent POV. The bright colors stand out very well in the lighting. The figure in the foreground adds a nice life to your photo.
I might have cropped the orange building out to the far right maybe, but this does not really affect the photo, it is just feedback for you.
Well done.

MCV
