Photographer's Note
Monte Verde National Park on the island of São Vicente in Cape Verde, is a mountain range formed by volcanic tuff cut by basaltic veins.
Monte Verde is the highest point on the island with 774 meters above sea level and is located 12 km from the city of Mindelo. The view from the top is spectacular and can be sighted throughout the island in a panoramic 360 °.
