Photographer's Note

In some posts of my series Cape Verde Fishermen, you have seen the boats being hauled ashore, from lateral POV. Today you have here a front view.
While the last boat is lowering its sail as it approaches the beach, this one is hauled ashore by some sailors. It's hard work; that's why the older lady just oversees the operation.
Usually the women take care of selling the fish in the Plorin d'Pêxe or also in the streets of Mindelo.
Location in WikiMapia: 16.9001472, -24.9132264.

(Edit: the first thing I noticed after posting, it was the tilt of the horizon :-( . Anyway, it's not easy to say how much it is tilted, owing to the mix of sea and shore in the background.)
