In S Vicente Island one of the most famous “things” to do is to apreciatte the fabulous gatronomy fish specialities.. I mean
Just hooked fish..
This is the kind of boat locally people use to capture them. Already in the XXst century (1955) there are references to the marine in the context of the difficulties imposed by the archipelago. It’s said that there is “an absolute lack of food resources, once that between what it is eaten in Cape Verde, with the exception of the fish (and the turtles), only the sweet and astringent pod of tamarind (…) seem to be spontaneous in those islands”. In 1979 it was published, by Lourdes Chantre, a book named “Cozinha de Cabo Verde”.

Muito bonita apesar de me parecer ter as cores um pouco saturadas. Curiosamente, a vida é aqui representada por um galo em vez do pescador ou do peixe. Gosto.

Hello Rui -

I like this composition with it's strong colors. But, there a few things that in my opinion could be fixed to make it a stronger image. I notice that the image is a bit dull and the colors are not as strong as they could be. I have posted a WS to address this. Also, I think the image is a bit over sharpened as I see around the building a bit of chunkiness and a halo along the ridge line in the bg. Otherwise, this is a fine image.

Interesting image. Not just the old fishing boats but the ruined building and the cockerel wandering on the beach. Cape Verde is somewhere I would like to visit some day.

Gosto desse tipo de composição, em ambiente marinho e com um céu alguma coisa carregado para o cinza. No gênero, sua composição ficou excelente, com os morros fazendo pano de fundo.
