Desert at Costa da Fragata on Sal

When you walk from Santa Maria northeast you come to an really empty landscape. The heavy northeast passat wind blows sand and salt over the dunes. I like this shot because just in this moment the shadow of a clouds was covering a part of the desert.

Hello Achim,
An attractive composition of these sand dunes with some lovely light and shadow play. The image has good depth and I like the layering effect. Very good sharpness.

Hi Achim.

The point of view is sending my eyes toward the sand dunes which is giving depth to the composition. It is well divided, the sky, the lighted ssnd dunes and the shadowed area. I like the effect of the bright areas and the darker areas. Have a nice day.

The light and shade across the dunes creates an amazing effect.

Hallo Achim. Cap Verde steht leider auch noch auf meiner weißen Liste. Die Dünen sind ein Teil dieses Landes. Das Gelb der Dünen und das Blau des Himmels ergänzen sich hervorragend. Auch die Komopsition ist top. Das wesentliche dieses Photos ist jedoch das phantastische LICHT. Gut realisiert. Absolut sehenswert. Gruß, Wolfgang.

I like the composition and the long diagonal line that separates the sunny side from the part in the shadow.
Very beautiful are the different colours of this desert and the strong contrast between the blue sky and the sunlit dunes.
