Photographer's Note
A beach in the island of Sal, Cabo Verde.
Just a few steps from the crowded part of the island, beyond the last big touristic resort, you'll find nobody around and a marvellous sea.
Even in Sal, which is the most touristic island in Cabo Verde.
Scanned from a Velvia 100. The polarizer plus underexposure well saturated the colors.

ciao stefano,
ciao,

hi Stefano,
there seems to be slight barrel distortion, but that's a minor point. I like a lot the simplicity of the shot that focuses attention on the textures and colours, and I particularly like the sense of movement in the wet sand. very nice.

Ciao Stefano,
the darkened colours make this one very special. And also the curved line of the horizon.
Compliments, Christian

Ciao Stefano,
complimenti per i bei colori che hai catturato devo dire che i colori che tirava fuori la cara pellicola velvia erano eccezionali e che nessuna macchina digitale sia arrivata a somigliarli, sempre pronto per essere smentito.
ottimo lavoro

Ciao Stefano,
Clear emerald green of the sea is beautifully captured. The round horizon makes this image a little bit puckish. I also had used a lot of Velvia (RVP) before.

Hi Stefano,
The different bands of colours from the beach, changing to black, then the white crashing water and out into the turquoise sea is pleasant to look at, and the slight offsetting makes some nice diagonal lines. I like it. I like it a lot! Fine shot
all the best

Ciao Stefano.
Oltre all'oggettiva bellezza dell'immagine, resto sempre esterrefatto della qualità della scansione. Nelle mie diap la scansione porta spesso alla luce graffi, macchie, polveri pur avendole conservate decentemente.
Ottimo lavoro, non c'è dubbio.

Hi Stefano,
I love the way the layer of black sand is leaching its way back into the ocean, and the colour of the water....beautiful. Incredible that you had this gorgeous place all to yourself. Nicely thought out composition, it's difficult to come up with a great result from such a simple scene.
The quality of the scanned image is very good, you must have had wonderful quality in the original slide.
Regards
Peter
