Certainly people do not rate this particular picture because they do not know what Cape Verde is, if I had to give points at my discretion I would give it a thousand points, your note explains well what this place really is, good perspective and PoV.

Nice alien landscape. What planet are we on? Good use of the panoramic format, but it might have been better to try and include the top of the mountain, and less of the foregrund.
