Photographer's Note
Après une baignade dans l'eau sursaturée d'une saline, le sel reste sur la peau.
Comme j’ai quelques difficultés en Anglais, j’explique ici en 2 mots pourquoi l’eau est si salée. Dans une saline, l’eau de mer arrive et s’évapore, il reste le sel. Mais dans des bassins plus profonds (3 mètres) de l’eau reste, mais très, très salées.
Quant aux 2 enfants, ils viennent de leur village à 2 Km, pour se baigner car on flotte très, très bien ici.

Well, i like this portrait! I think Edwin didn´t see the top of the page where you say that this photo was taken in Cabo Verde, Sal island...it seems to me that these boys were "washing" their faces with that salt, which as have been told to me, has some curative proprieties! Isn´t it, Yan?
Although, i agree with Edwin about the eyes of the man!

It would really being appreciated if you could write a note Yan. The image itself is beautiful, composition-wise interesting and it contains an attractive colour toning. Where did you take this shot, what happened or is happening that made you capturing this scene?
Besides the note, my only suggestion would be to crop a bit of the top above the eyes of the man behind the young boy, just to bring out the expression of his eyes...
If you enable a workshop I can show you what I mean...
