Harmony in Cape Verde, a photo from Sal, Barlavento

Photographer's Note

Cape Verde : a small archipelago in the Atlantic ocean, face to Senegal (by 500 km of the western coast of Africa), disovered and colonized by Portuguese around XVth century.

On Sal, the main island, you can watch men playing a strange game (I have never understood the rules !) at the end of each day. Their houses are painted with rich colors under the hard sun. And they appreciate the shadow of the trees in a country where it rains sometimes only a day per year...

Hi Marie,
This is a great street shot. You showed as real life of Espargos. Good to include men, tree and the lovely background of the house.

très bel enbsemble avec cette scène quotidienne et son environnement qui nous montre en fond cette superbe maison aux belles couleurs, l'arbre (à palabre ,) complète bien ce tableau bien composé. C'est bien vu.

Bonsoir Marie Ange,
Je découvre ta galerie aujourd'hui et j'ai du mal à préférer une photo car beaucoup m'ont plu beaucoup.
Celle-ci est très nette et avec une excellente exposition malgré la forte lumière et les zones à l'ombre.
Et puis, quelles couleurs vives ! Bravo.
