The bottom of the landscape is right below the sea level. So sea water infiltrates here. The water evaporates and … you have salt and the name name of the island "SAL".

These saltworks have a very simple operating process. I like the composition which uses diagonals. Excellent light, colors and clearness. Cheer.

Hi Achim,

The point of view is taking my eyes toward the mountain which is giving depth to the composition. It is also allowing me to see the details and colors of the salt recovery exploitation. The late afternoon light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Very astonishing shot, very interetsing too. A very good balalnce in the composition too with a very large FG which give depht to the image. Superb colors, various details and contrasts are very well collected.

Hi Achim,
very interesting composition, yet it is such a sad view to me: it seems so dirty: people are just leaving rubbish on the beach.
I like the diagonal lines here: the ones under water go one direction and the beach in another.

This saline reminds me the Salines of Gruissan south France but without the special red colour of water.
The place looks abandoned.
