Photographer's Note
The Valley of Ribeira da Torre on the island of Santo Antao in Cape Verde, is an imposing beauty of lush valley descending mountain ravines to the sea, with small villages in the craggy gorges.
The slopes are used for agriculture and terraces by a system for irrigation taken. Grows up to cane sugar, bananas, cassava, papaya, sweet potato, etc.
