Volcano located between Porto Novo and Janela da Pontinha on the northwest coast of the island of Santo Antao island of volcanic origin, is the 2nd largest island of Cape Verde, being the westernmost and also the northernmost of the archipelago.
The biggest allure of the island is the grandeur of its mountains and its cliffs that drop down to the sea. The steep landscape, contrasting with the green areas is
a strong attraction for hiking and adventure tourism
