Capela de Santa Fátima, a photo from Boa Vista, Barlavento

Photographer's Note

This is the old church of Santa Fatima, it contains the graves of the old jewish family Ben o 'Liel, a merchant family that used to settle in Cabo Verde and produce bricks on Boa Vista.

The curch can be reached from Sal Rei in a 45 min walk to the north. Directly behind there are (very sad to see) huge piles of waste, old cars, plastic and mostly glass bottles. The church is slowly deteriorating.

Very beautiful landscape post painted by lovely natural tones. The ruins of the church are well placed and exposed at that composition. Well done.

Hi Franz!
A lonely church in ruins! I like this. The little church seems so impressive at the top of the hill. We can even see the stairs.Good colours and a beautiful cloudy sky. Good moment also, with the sunlight reflecting on the church.

Great atmosphere in this composition , with this lonely chapel in a splendid arid landscape . Like the choice to give a large place to the superb cloudy sky .
