Photographer's Note
unfotunately no blue sky...
Boa Vista is a dry, desert island. The greatest part consists of stone desert and so called butte hills (left by erosion). The highest elevation is 387 m.
Sand dunes are found around most of the beaches. One big accumulation with no plants what so ever (apart from Deserto do Viana in the inland) is found at the lower end of Praia du Chave (the key beach). The main dune types found on Boa Vista are so called Barchan dunes, owing to the strong winds year round.

Bonsoir Franz,
J'aime bien ce genre de photo minimaliste. Cela porte à la méditation :)
Bonne semaine

Hallo Franz,
It is beautiful shot even if there is not blue sky, it may actually work to your advantage. Sometime the sun can bee to strong for this type of sand dune. Here I like the soft pastel tone with some faint detials of hte sand pattern, not foot print to disturn the pristine landscape. A simple and minimalist composition, as the saying goes, sometimes less is more. Beautiful shot, so pure and natural. I enjoyed it very much.
