Photographer's Note

After photos related to my Cape Verdean adventures now few shots which illustrate why tourists really visit Boa Vista or Sal. Our plane to Boa Vista flew over Canary Islands. We have seen Tenerife surrounded by a thick layer of clouds, but after two more hours flight south from Tenerife the clouds were quite rare and the sun nearly guaranteed. Boa Vista has endless beaches with fine clean perfect sand. I was hypnotized by the colour of water. I took hundreds of photos of the water itself trying to capture its colour, it never stopped to amaze me. Of course, for you here I will try to select photos which show something else in addition to the water ha ha. Here, for example, a not so young anymore couple holding hands while walking along the beach. We have celebrated with my wife on this trip the 20th anniversary of our marriage in addition to my wife’s birthday. It is a great destination for a romantic getaway or a family trip. By the way it is not us in the photo, just a random couple passing by.

This picture was taken along Praia de Lacacão. It was the beach next to the hotel I stayed in, Hotel Riu Touareg. If you would check the location of the hotel on the satellite photo, you would see that the resort is located in the middle of nowhere. The only people you could meet on this beach were tourists.
