Photographer's Note

This picture was taken at Boavista, one of the Cape Verde islands. A wreck of a ship is laying along one of the most windy beaches of the isle. It is rusty and dark, and, in a foggy and windy day, it is surrounded by a mysterious atmosphere.

Hi Stefano,
When I look at the colour of the sea, I see why they call it Cape Verde. The rusty hull is like a warning about the unpredictable dangers of these coasts. The fog adds mystery to the sandy beach and the hills beyond. I like it a lot except that I think the wreck could have been placed a bit more to the right.

great capture of this wreck, and the waves that brought about its destruction. Perhaps it could have been placed further right, but a good shot showing the dangers of nature.

Hola,
you brings a very especail atmosphere in this picture. really good. It's a wild sea, with the "bones" of this ship. Colours and the contrast of the ship with the sea and sands is great.

splendida foto che mi riporta indietro di qualche mese. E' incredibile come appena ci si sposta dalle spiagge turistiche si entri in un'atmosfera senza tempo, in posti in cui le isole del capo verde sono approdi pericolosi, in cui esiste il vento non solo per il kite surfing, le spiagge che in realtà sono il deserto fino a riva. decisamente bella, ha reso molto bene quella boa vista fuori dai clichè.
