Photographer's Note
The long and windy beach of Santa Maria, in the isle of Boavista. Strong and steady winds in this part of the isle make navigation difficult. The black spot at the horizon is a ship wreck, which has become a symbol of this area. I felt a bit uneasy and unconfortable in this place, approaching the huge rusty wreck under stong winds and this misty foggy atmosphere.
Boavista in anyway a very beautiful piece of Sahara in the middle of the oceam with marvellous sandy beaches all around it.

Hello Stefano,
Yes, I remember your previous shots with the shrek more visible. The atmosphere and the colors are very interesting but this landscape miss the originality of the shrek.
It is a lot time I am wondering about doing a travel in these islands. What is your opinion about the interest to visit the 3 main islands of Cap Vert?
Yves.

Hi Stefano,
This picture gives a good idea of the atmosphere of the place. Indeed, it's a "piece of Sahara".
Greetings,

Ciao Stefano,

The rocks on the beach are probably a good indication of rocks that may be lurking under the sea ready to trap the unwary sailor. The sea is a gorgeous colour nicely decorated by so many waves; probably another indication of hidden rocks.

Hi Stefano,
this is a very well composed image, especially with water line and horizon on the upper third. Colours are vivid but not exagerated, exactly as it looks in reality, i like it.
Just for correction:
The shipwreck is called MV Santa Maria and it lies on the north beach of Boa Vista. The beach of Santa Maria lies in the south of Boa Vista. This beach here is called Boa Esperanca and yes, it has furious winds year round :-)
Best regards, F.
