Photographer's Note
the first place we went in Yaoundé was the fabric market; full of colors in these stalls!
famous African fabrics are called wax
The vast majority of wax is printed in Europe precisely in the Netherlands. 90% is sold in West Africa
The printing process of the African wax fabric is very specific and is based on the use of wax. The fabric is dried and then soaked in various dyeing baths.

hello Christine,
It is something for me. I do not bring souvenirs from my journeys, what to do with them later? They are just dust collectors. But fabrics are an exception I often buy a tablecloth. So probably I would be here interested.
Nice composition. best regrads Malgo

Salut Christine,
Une prise tout en couleurs avec cette boutique de tissus et cet homme, parfaite luminosité, idéal pour mettre en valeur ces teintes vives, un portrait bien pris dans son environnement professionnel.

Hello Christine.
Wow, those fabrics are so beautiful, so colourful, and I always notice the African ladies' clothing!
I'm not sure how the salesman feels!
He appears to be in a trance!
Maybe he has never been photographed before!
It is a well composed photograph.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
