Photographer's Note

When you set off for a long journey in Benin (and surely in many other countries), you must make the most of it and carry as much as you can possibly imagine. You can put until 8 people in the car (sometimes in taxis there are 2 people on the driver's seat!), several lambs in the trunk and as much as you can on the roof!

For this picture I chose the b&w because the original colors were dull beyond curing (another cloudy day...).

Lorsque l'on part pour un long voyage au Bénin (et surement dans bien d'autres pays), il faut en profiter le plus possible et emporter le maximum de choses. On peut mettre jusqu'à 8 personnes dans la voiture (souvent dans les taxis il y a 2 personnes sur le siège du conducteur!), plusieurs agneaux dans le coffre et autant qu'on peut sur le toit!

J'ai choisi le n&b ici parce que les couleurs étaient irrémédiablement ternes (encore un jour nuageux...).

Wow, what a comical photo. Very dangerous to do, but they've managed. Looks like they can't take any more. Well captured photo, and good B&W effect.

You had the feeling of taking this picture black and white would give an original picture. It is also a funny picture.

Hello Anthony, I saw all your images from Benin, you really have a talent in photography that you have to hunt! keep shooting and at some point buy an SLR camera if you can...
