Photographer's Note
Well, This is not the first, and also not the last photo with the same subject. I just uploaded it because of the sheer abundace of the view. This on is taken from the old Portuguese Fortaleza still guarding Luanda Bay. It shows the vibrance of this city which holds so much promises, and so much secrets. I wonder were Angola stands 10 years from now. I hope for the best.

"I wonder were Angola stands 10 years from now." Being born in Angola I will not put a cent on it. Since I last was there in 2005, I can see that he "cosmetics" are going up (the two buildings with cranes on the righ - ESSO and SONANGOL). Unfortunately, the reality is very different.
Anyway, I like this photo. Brings back good memories of my country and of that wonderful city.

Well, like much African country, I'm not convinced most people will see the money from oil or diamonds flooding in their own life but I wish the best to Angola people anyway.
I'm interested since I took a similar shot 7 years ago and apart from the amazing huge building on the right (Sonangol ?), I don't notice much change :

How the view over the sea now ? Still endless shanty towns ?
Take care !
