Photographer's Note

The Algerian territory has about two hundred hydrothermal resources localized mainly in the alpine orogenic belt between the littoral and the Southern pediment of the Saharan chain. They mainly locate in Eastern Algeria. Geothermal springs in Algeria have been known since the Roman Empire. One of them is Hammam Chellala. Formerly known as Hammam Meskoutine 80 km south of the coastal town and seaside Annaba, and 20km from the capital Guelma; 320m altitude level of the Mediterranean Sea. A mineral water of hot spring hammam Chellala (Meskoutine) are deemed to be most hyper thermal in the world with a temperature rise to 95 to 98 °C.
