Hello Elaine,
Your words help us to understand the location, whilst your photograph captures a very accurate atmosphere of a busy market, where food is bought and consumed.
For a photograph which captures such obvious movement, your photograph is pin-sharp, showing virtually no movement blur.
I am curious, the two focal women are both wearing similar, checked shirts. Is this just a co-incidence or a common fashion trend?

yes, Bev it is quite usual to see women wearing checked shirts in the towns and markets over their longyis and blouses. I think it is just because they are more practical and harder wearing than the blouses they wear.
