Hello Gert,
I'd better not pass on your comments about Santa Maria to my eldest daughter and husband, they are going there in September! Personally, I don't much like beaches at all other than as a photographic subject. I like the composition, which is nicely balanced between sea, sand and sky, and has agreeable colour contrasts. The people more or less strung out in a line create depth and perspective drawing the viewer into the scene.

Luckily different persons have different opinions. I guess I am more allergic to tourist places than most people, so your daughter and husband will probably be happy with their journey. Best regards, Gert
