Great Royaldevon 2015-10-21 5:58

Hello Roger,

It does look very remote but how lovely that there is no fear of theft or vandalism. It used to be like that in my village, thirty years ago!
Your photograph is beautifully clear and sharp and reveals a lot about the setting.

I wonder if you would mind me offering a little advice about composition. It is usually better to have an image looking into the space ie) in this situation, the back of the church nearer the left edge, so that the majority of the space is to the right, in front of the door. It is a small point but one that usually works well.

Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Default To Royaldevon: Composition

Bev,

Thanks for your comments. Your compositional point is well-taken. Unfortunately, what lay to the right in this shot was a parking lot

Thumbs up Composition

Then you made a good choice, Roger.
It is not always possible to create the composition you most desire!

Have a lovely day,
Bev
