Great batalay 2015-09-15 13:11

Hello Gert,

At the outset, I agree with you completely. It doesn't make sense to present just the art at a gallery, but to include the visitors. Indeed, even people taking pictures of the art are making a statement, "I was there!" This is a very nicely composed shot with the small alcove (where Joan Crawford's painting is displayed) located in the best possible area of the frame. The visitor seems somewhat bewildered, looking in the wrong direction. I hope you don't mind hanging this in the group theme, Pictures at an Exhibition II. Pop Art, associated with a group of American artists, including Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, is not my favorite genre, but it has its place — conceived in the 50s and 60s and pretty much abandoned in the 50s and 60s.

Regards,

Bulent

Thank you Bülent,
Of course I don't mind being part of that fine collection.
Best regards,
Gert
