Great tyro 2014-09-19 9:36

Hello Rosemary,

I've never been a great fan of the Beatles' music and I'm certainly not at all knowledgeable when it comes to modern music, so as soon as I saw your title I was reminded of the film Rita, Sue and Bob Too but your photograph soon put me right!

I like this picture and, in fact, I think I probably like even more your workshop photograph with the slightly softer and less "gritty" tones. But both images are excellent and I'm just wondering how you managed to get this shot without upsetting the subjects here - did you shoot from afar with a long lens?

An excellent candid shot with stunning details and clarity. Very well seen and very well taken too.

Kind Regards,

Arrow To tyro: lens lenght

in the photo settings, you read 85 mm, so she was very close.

Hello both...

Yes, I was close. I walked past, saw the possibility turned around and shot. I have always enjoyed street photography but 'lost my nerve' for getting up close into people's spaces. I have now decided to face my demons and have a bash. I took several walks around Stratford and made myself shoot and deal with any fallout that there may be. The lady here was aware that I had snapped the situation and I just strolled on

Thanks for your interest
