Great emka 2014-01-25 7:58

You always have such an incredible light. How it is possible that only the Blue Mosque is lit and everything else is dark? You must had a long lens, I didn't see this view from Yedikule. Was it the same dungeon? Yes, the new towers correspond to old ones. Clever composition. Great that you finally went with your camera and big lenses.
Magic photo and I know why - you could now sing Le veau d'or est toujours debout! without any characterization :).

Talking To emka: Le veau d'or

Hi Gretchen,
It is totally natural, a non-mephistopheles thing. Were it be cold, I would freeze up there, waiting for the movement of clouds to reveal that light. From the number of photos i took, you could make a little movie showing the moving of light on old town. Thankfully, these days we are having south winds and it was a rather soft day, so did not freeze at all. Yes, it is exactly the place where we went together, and it was fun to go there with a camera after 6 years, this time with my safari-lens.
Jerzy was so sad for going back to minus 18, i guess he is in the plane right now
