Great kato 2013-12-02 0:12

Hello Murat,

You're explaining this custom of these candles around Christmas by a useful note, so it's interesting to hear that each candle of five has meaning such as hope, love, joy and purity, and lit every Sunday of four weeks before Eve in order. Although I feel that it understands for the white candle in the meaning of being pure, the meaning for which purple is used is not understood well. It has the deep back that it sets aside and this custom takes hold on the deep faith to Christ. You catch well these candles and the cross by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity.

Kind regards,

Default To kato: Royal Purple

Hi Mikio,
Purple stands for royalty. In ancient times, the color purple was difficult to make, so only kings and queens were able to wear that color. The purple candles remind us that although we are anticipating the birth of a baby in most humble conditions, this baby (Christ Child) is also the King of kings and Lord of lords.
