Great maciekda 2005-04-13 15:14

beautiful portrait Steven, colors and light are splendid here. a bit gray though, more contrast would help - i think it is you post-processing. shallower DOF would be better to blur the background more, but with that lens it is not easy - you must be very close... I like that walking girl in the background, I wish she hand one leg in fron of her - upside down V shape of walking legs is nicer for me. nice work still

Default To maciekda: Didn't use my feet enough ?

Hello Maciej,

You know I was incredibly close compared to what I'm used too :)

But during this trip, I had many of your shots in mind (among other TE's fellows) and I was telling me : Steven, you need to get even closer !!! Forget long lenses for a while and use you feet ;)

Ok, I'll try again to get closer. It's a very new experience to me. I guess it has been 5-6 months only that I'm tackling with portrait but I really will to improve my technic so I keep on trying. And that's a very good experience to get closer from people, to chat a while so they don't feel embarassed when I will tell them that I will get Really close from their face...

Thanks and have a good evening !
