Default To mcmtanyel: Hello Murat

Hello Murat,
since I'm not that familiar with church matters, I looked it up on the Internet and found that several kind people had worked to answer your question on a forum
Themelius was one of the 33 martyrs commemorated as a group by the Orthodox church on November 7. They lived and died in Melitine, Cappadocia in the 3rd or 4th century A.D.
The names Themelis and Themelina probably occur only on Kalymnos where many people arrived in the early 1900's from Turkey. (There are several families on Leros too who arrived from Didim and nearby places.)
Themelis, however, is a common surname -rendered famous in the last two decades by a great author- that can be found in various parts of Greece.
The word "themelio" (noun, neutral) means foundation.
I believe that Temel must be the turkish version of Themelis
All the best, have a lovely day,
