Great marabu61 2013-08-11 4:05

Hello Rosemary
I remember having taken this road once several years back and I remember the spectacular landscape even though the weather wasn't as good as you had it here.
Lovely light and very pleasing colors in the landscape and the sky. The abandoned cottage would make for a nice little second home, but then there is not much to do around here, isn't it. That probabely why it is abandoned in the first place, who can make a living here these days.
have a great sunday

Default To marabu61: Highways and Byways

Hello Daniel - I was really impressed by some of the routes we took in SA. This one was really spectacular and we also went down some other formidable passes. A great country for a slow meandering road trip.

We are off to Ireland next month and I shall be following very much in your footsteps I think regarding our route. Can't wait!

Enjoy what remains of your weekend.

Hi Rosemary
Yes, South Africa is such a beautiful country indeed.

I am glad when our routing did appeal to you too, I wish you a great trip to Ireland and I am curiously awaiting your pics here.
