Great photoray 2013-08-02 10:04

Howdy Russ,

I think the 'noise' adds to the effect of the feather like crystal formations, and the dark green blue adds to the overall composition.

And I agree with Nature mimicking itself with similarities amongst plants, animals, geology and chemistry.

Have fun,
Cheers,
Ray

Smile To photoray: Yes, feathers!

Hi Ray!

Thank you for confirming my instinct to not alter the blue-green shade -- it was in the slide, and to me conveyed the coldness of the morning. This was a large old house in a college town -- student housing in the 1970s with no insulation and a heating system that had originally been coal-fired (converted to natural gas long before our year there).

And YES -- feathers! I was seeing ferns in the crystals, but you are right. Mother Nature has repeated this basic form in animal, vegetable, AND mineral! She's a wonderful thing!

Best regards!
