Great holmertz 2012-10-25 10:51

Hello Malgorzata,
Apart from elephants, hippos and crocodiles, what about bilharzia? This is a fine evening view with good colours. But in what way would the Polish wetlands look different?
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Gert, Our guides and polers told us it was safe. Swimming in stagnant water is a problem. The Okavango delta water is clear and is safe to drink and swim in in many places.
We have wetlands in Poland but I do not think it is possible to go around by boat. but I wasn't there. And there are other differenvces (apart from crocs, elephants and hippos). The plants are quite different - papyrus, strange trees, like sausage trees (with very beatiful flowers), amarula trees 9locals make beer or wine), termites, and so on and of courses different birds.
