Great worldcitizen 2012-06-04 10:52

Hello Craig,
I like the scene, and the different people in it, but this is the first time (gasp!!) that your chosen composition leaves me feeling a little flat. Here goes my honest opinion...I find the space on the top left side of the frame a bit distracting. I know you mentioned that you couldn't crop any more, but as Paul mentioned, it feels like it needs a tighter crop to me, too. Since you were looking down at this scene from the side, I guess you were out of sight. A more head-on POV might have pulled the composition together a bit more, but then you might have been spotted. ;-) Wow! I am really being verbose today! Ha!! I hope you don't mind. I was looking at this photo for a while, and trying to figure out why it didn't grab me as strongly. Now I'm done. :-)

Hi Brenda
always great to hear from you.

Don't feel bad for expressing your honest opinion, its totally ok!
As for the compo, yes, i have to agree that its certainly not my best. I have a good natural sense of how to compose architecture, but i'm still learning about people photography and there's a steep learning curve to be had!
I'll keep trying!
thanks again
