Great emka 2011-12-18 23:18

Hi Rosemary,

I haven't been to Africa (alsa) but I know Sossusvlei from the photos and indeed it is very strange to see it with running river. very interesting photo, with all the colours of the desert and cloudy sky. You were lucky to see it. impressive shot. The weather conditions are so strange. last year we had a lot of snow, this year it is still quite warm in Poland. Not bad not to have to shovel the snow but to have white Christmas would be nice.

Smile To emka: Snow....

Hello Malgo - Oh how I would love to have a white Christmas but NO CHANCE of that here in Namibia, it is blazing hot! It's a very long time since I had a European Christmas and I do miss it. The food, dark skies, carols and all the festivities seem to sum up Christmas for me. We had the grandchildren over for the weekend and had an early Christmas as we are away next weekend. Santa Claus did come, much to their delight and we spent hours in the swimming pool! One day I shall bring them north for a proper celebration! Take care and thanks for the critique. Rosemary
