Great cebe 2011-11-15 13:43

Hi Tushar,

Great expression, good with the narrow depth of field and focus on the big eyes (although isn't there a slight accidental motion blur?).

As human beings, we tend to interpret animals attitude and physiognomy with our human instinct and experience. Animals with big eyes relative to the size of their face usually look cute and touching, with almost no exception. They seem to call out for protection. Think of baby seals for example, and the determination of those opposed to this hunt. That's because big eyes relative to the size of the head is a fundamental characteristic of the look of human babies, because we've been programmed through evolution to recognize it as the look of the ones we have to care for, for their well-being, and for our well-being as individuals and social group. That's something I read a long time ago in a book by Konrad Lorenz, zoologist, ethologist and Nobel price winner, and that's what came back to my mind when I was charmed by these eyes.
