Great mafegan 2009-01-13 7:18

Hello Gert
Quite a funny photo especially after reading your comments. I wonder if 14 years later the pillar is now standing up.

I say this as when I compare my 2 visits to Egypt - so much was lying down and resting in 1974, but by the time I returned 30 years later in 2004 it was glued together and standing up ready to go for another few thousand years. Thanks, Marlene

Default To mafegan: Old and tired / Baalbeck Ruins

Dear Marlene Fegan,

I assure you that the column is still in the same position, lying on its brother the wall. It will remain in the same position forever.
It is sad to say, but only because the Ministry of Antiquity in Lebanon is too lazy to even do some improvements on this Historical site. Some times being lazy is good...;-)

Kind regards,

I. Elia
