Great corniste 2007-12-02 2:00

Hi Mike,

Fantastic shot! Why don't you tell us more about your camera and settings... You have may be the highest standard of picture quality on this site, but you do not like to speak so much about the "making of"! Did you really used a tripod and flash?

Congratulations though!

Default To corniste: Sorry about forgetting the technicals!

I always forget to add them! I shot this in medium format with a 35mm lens (equivalent to 28mm in SLR 35mm format) at f8 1/30 sec ISO 200 with a tripod and a fill flash to highlight the cormorant. The light really was this spectacular, the best sunset of my week there. I added no saturation to the image. I did use a 3 stop graduated neutral density filter (color neutral) to keep the sky in the same exposure range as the foreground. But that's it. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
