Great Clairedelune 2007-11-27 18:18

Yes, "work as art" indeed!
I like the quality of light in this one. We are here with him, we can almost smell the fume and hear the noise. Maybe the foreground is a little bit cluttered, but hey! it was not a studio shot, isn't it?
Thanks Harry to bring this kind of photos in TE. Work is a part of the world, a very great part of the world.
And not only that, but you are processing your photos well, that makes them pleasing to look at. Still amazed by what you achieved with that nice little camera of yours! :)
By the way, have you seen this theme? You might find some that are good too!
Ah! I like men at work! :)

Default To Clairedelune: wonderful critiques

Thanks Claire
Really good critiques and I am thrilled that the pictures are appreciated.
I was actually very surprised myself by the results of this small compact camera, but i have used canons ixus series for work documentary before and always been happy with it. But never thought it could look like this.

I am also cheating a little, as i use a clarify tool from PSP for post processing, a kind of shortcut tool for contrasts and sharpening:)

Thanks
Harry
