Great nekoyama 2007-07-08 4:48

Hello paolo,
It's an interesting shot to know about Japan.
I think it is not a joke. They should be serious at all. Their conscience will bother them without it. It is based on the Buddhistic tradition that prohibit the killing of animals....

Honestly, as a Japanese man, I can't undetstand why so many people consider that it's a joke!

Regards,
Keitaro

Hi Keitaro,
I don't use this site anymore, then I've read your comment only now. Your answer is serious and interesting, and it is a little lesson for me. I'm very sorry if my comment sounded like offensive or disrespectiful for japanese people. It was not my purpose: I respect and like your country and your people. And your explanation is useful to increase my respect and my simpaty for your people.
With my best regards

Paolo
