to me it seems that you've cropped this a bit. if you have i would say that it's a bad choice. for a scenic shot you should try and get in as much as you can in the frame.the blue here is brilliant, but it gets hazy in the distance. what you need to do ,corrina, is to use a polarising filter , the next time you take a photograph like this. it'll help you to get rid of the haze and will make the sky muc hricher. what happens is that the sun's rays keep bouncing off the particles suspended in the atmosphere, because of which this haze is created ( im telling you in laymen's words) the polariser gets rid of this effect and will give you the true colours of the sky
i hope it helps you if you ever try out a polariser

Hi, thanks for the tip, i did not crop this pic, i had to resize
in order to upload. This was taken at 05h30am in the middle of winter. One of the brighter, clearer days i had the pleasure of enjoying, i will keep your advice in mind for my next trip.
