Good Emiel_Skyfreak 2006-12-04 19:33

Hi JC,

Quite nice shot of this canyon, I've seen it before, here on TE.
Probably it's a very nice canyon. Unfortunatly your photo is not very rich in colours or contrast, so it's hard to see the depth in the photo. The curves do it somehow, but more contrast would be nice. Thanks for sharing.

Default To Emiel_Skyfreak: This is not Antelope Canyon in Page Ariz

This is a photo of the slot canyon in Tent Rocks National Monument in Cochiti, New Mexico, not the Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ or the Spooky Canyon in the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument in Utah. There are no other photos of this canyon on TE yet. The colos are this light and muted, although I guess a bit more contrast would not hurt. The rock here is still sandstone but with a lot more volcanic pumice in it. Pumice is like the hardened foam from a spewing volcano -- kinda like the foam that forms on the top of a mug of beer. It is mostly air.
