Great ktanska 2006-08-23 8:09

Hi David,
It's a fascinating one. They seem to swim in circle where one decided apart. I wonder if they have specially planned the lighting to make this so attractive.
I'm not aware of former versions of ToS, but how could this have ever been against any? Aquariums are about learning about the (underwater) world.
Because of that they never could be boring to me either.

Default To ktanska: Boring aquariums

Thanks for the critique, Kari. Maybe I am being a bit unkind when I said I find aquariums boring. I think I got spoilt after living 11 years on Queensland's north coast (Australia) where the Great Barrier Reef was just a stone's throw away. There you can experience the 'real' underwater world. The Great Barrier Reef is so teeming with colourful aquatic life - and you are there in the clear warm water amongst it all - really another world and an amazing experience - so you may be able to understand how aquariums can seem a bit of a let down after that. Cheers . . . David

Hi David,
Now it makes perfect sense. I wish to go there some day myself.
