Today I would like to show you the Cheam Lake Wetlands. They are 120Km east of Vancouver, completely in our proximity. The mergel (mixture from clay/tone and lime) was diminished and used from 1944 to 1988 as fertilizer in the agriculture. In 1949 by breakups of the Cheam Creek and the Cheam Lake were deepened, in order to approach more easily to the Mergelsedimente at the sea-soil. 1990 were explained to Cheam Lake officially as regionally the park and 1992 were finished by different combinations a water level adjustment. Since then to constantly construct worked on it the Ecosystem. The park is a paradies for each nature lover and photographer. Panorama from 2 photos.
