Great cjmm 2006-03-13 15:04

Hi Patricia,

Well, I like this one the best.

But I think you took a very hard task, and agree with Kath in that (at least my own experience) photographing flying birds can take lots of shots with only a very few good ones.

What I do... if the birds are flying in my direction, I try continuous focus (and continuous shots) and a smaller f/stop (about f8) to increase DOF. If they fly diagonally... well that is a guessing game where I set the focus manually and start shooting before they reach pressumed DOF, but always keep continuous shots and small f/stop. I the end, is a matter of concessions, higher ISO can mean more noise.

Best regards and have a great week!
Carlos

Default To cjmm: Thank you, Carlos.....

I appreciate your helpful comments. I will try a higher iso setting then next time I shoot birds, good suggestion, Thank you again. I wasn't happy with the continuous shooting mode in full-automatic. I need to learn to make the camera work with shutter priority or aperture priority. Pat
