Great cgrindahl 2004-06-01 19:47

The bridge grabs my eye, which it should of course considering your POV and composition. I appreciate your putting weight on the left side of the image with its more saturated colors, as you shift the bridge slighty off center. The eyes is led from left to right and ultimately beneath the beautiful bridge and along the length of the river, inevitably coming back to the bridge. Wonderful.

I believe you when you say this was a challenging lighting situation to master, but the finished product is very fine. I'd welcome hearing from you what you did to deal with the disparity. I'm still a novice in post-production work and would welcome some tips.

Default To cgrindahl: Adjustments made

Hi Curtis, many thanks for your comments.

These were the PP steps that I did:
1. adjusting colors (red+6, green-4, yellow+5)
2. boosting saturation by 10%
3. enhancing contrast +4
4. using curves to adjust highlights -12 and mid-tones +14
5. since reducing brightness will make the photo looks pale, I creased saturation by another 4% and contrast by +2

Hope this helps....

Cheers,
Tai
